Each New Year’s Day, The Compassion Center offers a Meditation Class. This New Year’s Day is no exception. There will be a Meditation class from 11am-12pm ET on Friday, December 1, 2021. This year, the class will be offered via Zoom. Anyone can attend this class via desktop or laptop computer, iPad, iPhone, Droid, or by calling into the designated Zoom number. All you need to do is register via the following URL.
These classes offer us an opportunity to look at the New Year and contemplate the changes that we seek. This may include looking for a new career, returning to school, seeking a new relationship, making peace with people that we have had difficulties with, making peace with difficult emotions, and so much more.
Part of the New Year’s Meditation is dedicated to looking back at the previous year, seeing the things that we are proud of accomplishing, and seeing the things that we want to change. Looking back offers us the opportunity to see what we can and possibly need to do differently in the new year.
I am reminded in my studies that change can take place if you want it badly enough. To bring about change requires a commitment and may involve a great deal of work. Fortunately, the changes that many of us seek are so rewarding, that the commitment and hard work are well worth the efforts.
Think of our New Year’s Day Meditation as a starting point towards achieving whatever change you seek.
